Lou Recantou & L 'Ancien Pressoir L'Ancien Pressoir guest comments
Lou Recantou: the cottage
guestbook comments It took years for us to get here - and thank goodness we finally did! The apartment astonished us ...
The binder supplied so much information ... This was our first experience renting a “gîte” and I fear
you have spoiled us for ever renting elsewhere. This is the benchmark! What a delight it has been to spend these last two weeks in your beautiful L’Ancien Pressoir. Your vision has created a very special “home away” and is a place we will long return to in our memories. Marg & Bill Lynn, Montréal, Québec, March 2007Felt just like coming home but without the hassles. What could be more relaxing?
The super friendly village restaurant and a lovely evening at “La Fourchette Folle” were highlights. Wishing you all the best but not too much success in filling your gîte for years to come, so there will be room for us! A week, alas, is far too short for this magical place. ... Every day was superb and we can’t wait to come
back...your place stood out among many others we visited as a template for how things should be done, i.e. all
the thoughtful furnishings, including fine library, and the detailed material on where to eat, shop, etc. When you stay at l’Ancien Pressoir it immediately becomes home. Thanks again so much, for another wonderful two weeks of great weather, great food, great wine and the greatest “places” on earth to explore! We love this place! ...the perfect place to rest, relax, read, sleep, walk, destress and eat! What a delight it has been to spend these last two weeks in your beautiful L’Ancien Pressoir. Your vision has created a very special “home away” and is a place we will long return to in our memories. Marg & Bill Lynn, Montréal, Québec, March 2007We were all entranced with the scenes around every corner in the villages... We miss the apartment, miss the bells, miss the sunshine, the wind, miss "no bugs",
miss cycling along the canal and through the countryside, miss the markets, miss the olives,
cheese and wine and sausage and pastry and ham .... We'll be back - you can count on it! Return to top of page [We] have travelled in France on numerous occasions ... staying in many gîtes. L'Ancien Pressoir stands out among all, and we have stayed in some lovely places. There is an attention to detail that surpasses the others. Michael and Nancy, Ontario, August 2006We had a wonderful week. L’Ancien Pressoir is a perfect place for two couples. We can see why you chose Oupia as your home. It is such a friendly and picturesque little village. We really enjoyed all our day trips from this central location. Merci et à bientôt, Kees and Hillie Cnossen, Ron and Gale Steensma, Ontario, May 2005 Just a quick note to say thank you again for the great time we had in Oupia. Dave Hudak, Ontario, June 2005 Return to top of page We have had a wonderful stay in l'Ancien Pressoir... The patio is lovely, the beds very comfortable and the kitchen well stocked.
